Federal student recruitment inventory

Federal organizations mainly recruit students through this program. It gives you the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on work experience while developing skills for your future career.

We use the inventory year-round. Students can work full-time during a non-academic term (often during the summer), or part-time during an academic term. Tasks can range from creating marketing promotional materials to conducting research.

Inshore Rescue Boat student program

Each summer, we hire and train post-secondary students to become members of an Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) crew. Trained in search and rescue operations, our IRB crew members gain rewarding real-world experience in delivering on-water search and rescue while working with multiple local agencies. They also become proficient in operating a Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) and have opportunities for professional growth and leadership roles.
